Environmental sustainability is a priority for the bottled water industry, water coolers and drinking fountains. According to the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA),recycling water bottles has increased significantly and has reduced the use of plastic manufactured, called polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
According to data from the National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) referred to the United States in the past 11 years the weight of plastic bottles pint has been reduced by at least 47.8%, reaching 9.9 grams.
Meanwhile, in the U.S. the rate of plastic bottle recycling increased in 2011 by 38.6%, when the previous year had been increased 32.25%.
