Canaletas closes the year 2023 with a 20% growth in turnover and 30% in exports, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and international expansion
- The European and Middle Eastern markets are the main focus of business.
- Precovid sales increased by 20%.
- The company has expanded its business by incorporating fountains in more than 100 merchant ships to reduce the use of plastic for drinking water.
Canaletas closes 2023 with a 20% growth in turnover compared to 2022. These very positive figures are accompanied by the improvement in exports and the expansion of business to other sectors. The company has also increased its turnover with respect to the precovid accounts and forecasts a positive 2024.
In addition to the 20% improvement in turnover, the company highlights the 30% growth in exports. The strengthening of the market in Europe and the consolidation of sales in the Middle East explain the growth of Canaletas in the foreign market, adapting to the new realities of the sector just when water is becoming a very valuable asset worldwide.
"
Canaletas has been able to adapt to market needs. Today the water sector is essential, and both with innovation and commitment to sustainability, the company is being strengthened as a reference at international level," explains Jordi Morera, CEO of Canaletas.
The company has more than 55 years of experience in the manufacture of drinking water fountains and water dispensers. In addition to the growth in exports, Canaletas continues to be a reference in the Spanish market as the leading manufacturer in the Iberian Peninsula.
The upward trend is also due to innovation in the product range. One of the latest innovations promoted by the company are drinking water fountains specially designed for merchant ships. This is a market in which they have so far hardly been introduced, but with significant prospects.
Specifically, in a first phase Canaletas has water dispensers installed in 100 different merchant ships that sail around the world. This new variant is in line with the promotion of drinking water consumption and quality. In addition, it helps to reduce the use of plastic water bottles that end up being discarded in the various ports where ships dock.
The operation is very simple and aims to become standard equipment for all fleets. The drinking fountains are connected to the ship's drinking water tank and, through efficient filtration systems, water of the highest quality is obtained, reducing contamination and plastic generation.
Canaletas has also added three new models of water coolers to its catalog that are committed to durability and elegance, as well as to promoting sustainability in water consumption. In all cases, the principle of drinking directly or refilling bottles is maintained, thus putting an end to the use of plastic cups.
JetVanguard, Aquavanguard and 99ID are the three new models developed by the company. The first two stand out for their durability and are oriented to places with high traffic or consumption such as universities, hospitals, gyms, hotels...
The third is focused on office use, as it is mainly characterized by its elegant style.
All three models offer maximum reliability thanks to their patented safety and hygiene system. In this way, the efficiency of the water fountain or dispenser and the sustainability of its consumption are reinforced.
